California-born, Idaho-raised, Oregon-rooted, Kelsi Morrison moved to
the beautiful Pacific Northwest two days after graduating from high
school to pursue her dream of working in the beauty and fashion
industries - a dream she’s held since she was four years old.
As a professional hairstylist since 2003, Kelsi is passionate about her
work. She holds a special passion for the art of cutting and coloring, as
well as working with curly and ethnic hair. Her clients love her work, in
large part because she listens to what they want.
In 2011, Kelsi was recruited by Farouk Systems, makers of CHI and
BioSilk, to travel around the country and educate stylists. As an
educator, she has engaged with international hairstylists and has worked
side by side with nationally recognized and accredited platform artists.
When she travels to hair shows around the country, it’s no secret that she
loves the intense pace of working backstage and learning from other
stylists.
In 2014, Kelsi leaped at the opportunity to purchase the salon where she
worked. Within a year, she remodeled, renamed, and rebranded the
salon, then mentored a new team of stylists. For three amazing years, the
business grew. When the building was sold and Kelsi had to close her
beloved salon, she immediately refocused her energies: to expand her
expertise as a stylist for her clients. She also had availability again to
travel nationally and teach in-salon classes.
Kelsi continues to reinvent herself and keep up with the latest trends.
She has attended numerous classes from Farouk, Matrix, Redken,
Goldwell, American Crew Cutting Collections, Deva Curl, Hattori
Hanzo, Twisted Fringe Hair Extensions, as well as at national hair
shows. This love for learning ensures that her clients have access to the
very best and latest techniques and products in the industry.
